Work in progress!

This blog is to be the online reference point for the Malta Pharmaceutical Association. It will include links to other relevant sites, pharmacy news, educational items and other information relevant to our profession.

It is hoped to have the site functioning in its entirety very shortly. Thank you for your understanding.

Please post your ideas and comments!

Following our meeting last month at the Westin Dragonara, various ideas have surfaced on how the M.Pharm. post-graduate degree course for those already qualified, should be structured. Presently, no consensus has been reached, as hopefully this will be done by a majority decision of all concerned, prior to putting our proposals as an association to the appropriate authorities.

Please post any suggestions you may have as a comment to this post. Rest assured that we will take on board every idea put forward and will post any replies or discussion points on this blog.

A much required step in the right direction

The meeting of minds at he Westin Dragonara last week has set off a chain of events that has been long in coming. The pharmacy profession in Malta has for far too long been its own worst enemy. In an effort to be the best amongst our own, we have inadvertently allowed individuals outside the profession to take advantage of the fact that some of us were distracted by our own in-fighting. This lack of focus has led to a gross inaction on our part in wide-ranging changes that have taken place in recent years.

The actual fact that there were strongly held and worded opinions expressed last Tuesday is an indication in itself that our pride and willpower to maintain our personal and professional is very much alive. What is required now is to turn this energy to a positive focus and use our disagreements to form a single united front on the various issues that we face.
